Excerpt from The Enchanted AUTO A Positive Therapy

Excerpt from The Enchanted AUTO A Positive Therapy In my years as a psychologist, I have come to believe that most people seeking psychotherapy are unhappy not only because of injury and previous injuries, and the current problems and frustrations, but because they can not access the first happy moments rather often. Result of not being able to experience positive well-being. These are the only welfare that I came to the label The Enchanted SELF.Many the science of human behavior that we have not and probably will never be able to understand human nature. I am increasingly convinced that we are not. For example, what interests me is that we do not fully understand some people who have the possibility of life, but apparently little experience of joy, while others, apparently less likely, the experience of great joy. Maybe we tried too hard to understand the pathology of our science of psychology that we have not experienced enough to recognize and understand what I call my state or I happiness. When I started to analyze the data of the women I interviewed, I have continued to try to understand how their lives changed pleasure to adult children, have spoken. I found that even if it seems that there are some clear links, many others are not clear at all.The ability of these women to take the positive aspects of their childhood, while rejecting the dysfunction that has often was also present, it was incredible to me. It seems as if a magic wand has been typed on the head of women in adulthood lives. For example, when Edith talked about his childhood, he recalled that his first malfunction issues: the fight between his parents and their criticality. I suggested to go back and revise your child to identify moments in which, despite the pain of family life, he feels very happy for his own life and herself. With encouragement, we could separate his own memories of positive experiences and dysfunctional family, recalls the wonderful times: delicious family picnic, fishing with his grandfather, activity etc.An you can begin your jouey towards positive Enchantment: What are some great moments of your childhood when you felt particularly happy? These moments may be of any age, through your earliest memories until adulthood. When you find a golden memory, enjoy. Look at what age and experience with different meanings to leave again this happy moment. Do you remember how your body feel? Can remember what activities were engaged in? There odor? What is the climate? How to watch the things around you? What's your mood you feel? Take the time to really enjoy this happy memory yourself.I wish you a happy jouey. I hope that your life feels everything, and you'll find your past, whether good or painful, a repertoire of talents and skills that are unique to you. I hope that your talents, skills and potential to give a sense of well-being, as has been thrust into the world in ways.Barbara Becker Holstein, Ed.D., is a psychologist in private practice.
